Daycare center Speel-Inn De Kwakel has access to a space that is linked to the primary school by means of a connecting door.

Our daycare center consists of three horizontal development-oriented groups:

• A baby group “the Turtles” of up to 12 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 1.5 years.
• A toddler group “the Parrots” of a maximum of 14 children between the ages of 1.5 and 3 years.
• A toddler group, the “Monkey Group” of a maximum of 13 children aged 2.5 to 4 years.

There is an adjacent and easily accessible outdoor space. The outdoor space surrounds the indoor space on three sides. The baby and toddler group have a sliding glass door so that they can enter the outdoor area. The babies have their own garden. The toddler group goes through the main entrance to the outdoor area. The garden is equipped with tiles, grass, shrubs, trees, a sandpit and a slide.

There is a large sliding door between the baby and toddler group. This makes it possible to keep an eye on each other, to play together and the children also get to know the other employees.

Both the baby and toddler groups have their own place for the shoes in the hallway and the coats in the group. For the baby and toddler group, there is a basket / drawer for each child in the group in which their personal belongings are stored. The toddler groups have their own place for shoes, coats and a basket with personal items in the hallway.

In the adjacent school there is a gym that Speel-Inn can use in bad weather, for example. The children also see the inside of the school, see the teachers and other children there. We would like a good cooperation with the school in order to coordinate the continuous learning line. When children reach the age of 4, they can move on to our out-of-school care facility, which is located indoors and at KDO. Do not forget to register on time!

We think it is important that children can also discover for themselves and that is why free play is also an important part of the day. Children can choose what they want to do and the employees encourage them to do so. There is material available at the groups that the children can take from the cupboard themselves and there is material that can be offered by the pedagogical employee. Playing together is also encouraged among the children. We also conduct targeted activities to stimulate and stimulate the development of the children.

Through our Doenkids activity program we make use of an extensive database of activities for all ages. These are communicated to parents every month via the parent app Konnekt.
